Accessibility benefits to a returnable postal box:

Accessibility in packaging is one of the most important, yet overlooked features.

Returnable postal boxes are highly regarded as an accessible packaging option; because they have a tearable strip along the outside. These tearable strips are incredibly practical for everyone and are more convenient for somebody who struggles with their dexterity. This is especially true when compared to a taped-up box.

From a customer returns point of view also, the peal-and-seal returns strip means the box is easily closed; with no need for package tape. This ensures your customer has an accessible way to return the products to you.

How does Returnable Postal Packaging keep my products safe?

Returnable Cardboard Boxes have several features to keep your products safe, such as using a crash lock base for structural rigidity.

Crash lock boxes have increased structural rigidity because of the way they are assembled. Initially they are supplied flatpacked, and then the sizes are pressed in to lock the base. The locking of the base forces the box into 90° angles.

Furthermore, the crashlock base provides cushioning to the base of the box, which absorbs impacts the box may encounter during transit.

They also keep your products safe, because they are tamper-evident. The integral adhesive of the box cannot be removed without tearing the rip-strip.

A further way this type of packaging keeps your products safe, is that should your products need to be returned, your customer already has appropriate packaging for this. This appropriate packaging will reduce the risk of the products being returned becoming damaged in transit.

What is a crashlock base?

Crashlock boxes have a folded cardboard base. These folds lock together when the sides of the boxes are pressed. This allows for quick construction of the box, without the need for any additional adhesive. This method of assembly also ensures uniformity in the packaging, and sturdy sides of the box.

The reduced requirement for additional adhesive is also better for the environment, and means that the packaging is fully curbside recyclable.
